How the Extension Works

FanVPN uses the Chrome proxy API to route your browser traffic through our secure server. This is done entirely within your browser — no data is logged on our servers.

The extension fetches an encrypted configuration file to determine which proxy server to connect to. This configuration file contains only server connection details and is encrypted using RSA + AES encryption.

The encrypted configuration file is hosted on GitLab. We do not share any user data with GitLab or any other third party.
